Colin Buchanan is an esteemed songwriter, singer and entertainer. He has been the go-to songwriter for Australia’s most successful country music artists: Lee Kernaghan, Troy Cassar-Daley, Adam Brand, Adam Harvey, Beccy Cole... He has won APRA and ARIA awards along the way and at last Colin returns to the studio to mark his remarkable two decades of song collaboration.

"This live-to-tape duets project has been a long time coming," says Colin. "Each song has a story and it was a pleasure to bring my friends into the studio for what became an amazing recording journey - all captured on video as the songs went down! It was nuts - like "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" meets a late night lounge room jam."

With his unique singer-songwriter style and love-of-life attitude, Colin is joined by the artists he has written for and about over the years as they capture brand new live and engaging performances of Colin’s stellar songs. Guests include John Williamson, Troy Cassar-Daley, Lee Kernaghan, Sara Storer, Anne Kirkpatrick, Dianna Corcoran, Peter Denahy, Markus Meier and the legendary Bushwacker’s frontman Dobe Newton.

Entitled THE SONGWRITER SESSIONS, the album is a first for Australian Country Music. Says Colin, "What started a playful "What if..?" with producer Garth Porter became an unprecedented collection of duets and re-interpretations, captured as they went to tape. It is so special to be the common songwriting thread running between so many artists. Available digitally, on CD & DVD, both are scheduled for release on August 17 and will be supported with promo and tour dates.
